Hi! I’m Alex — founder and maker behind AKALÓ Jewelry. I’ve always loved making things and getting hands-on with creative DIY projects. Growing up, my mom had a small jewelry business as a hobby, and I thought it was the coolest thing that she turned something she loved into something she could share with others. I would spend hours looking through her beads, creating pieces of my own.

It took me a while to get the courage to share my own work, but I finally did it, and that’s how AKALÓ started.

The name comes from the Greek word kaló, which means “good” or “beautiful.” I added my own twist to make it feel personal, like each piece I make.

Inspired by the ocean and handcrafted in South Florida, each piece is made with care to be just as unique as the person who wears it. I hope AKALÓ adds a little beauty to your everyday.
